colours circles here represent population, each circle is a number, group of circles make countries, shapes are based on the europe map as we know it. so each shape make a the population number

great concept! there are many maps which measures population like that, but this one stands out. speaking of standing out, i think the red circles stand out a bit too much. they would be better toned down a little.

I don't really agree with ~IOFFE... Even from the thumbnail it was clear to me that it was Europe.

Anyway, I love how this piece looks. You found an interesting and visually appealing way to portray a boring subject, demographic statistics.

That alone deserves big kudos. :D
