Sometimes all we need is just a little reminder of how we can all play a small part to help inspire awareness and appreciation for our Earth's environment. Think Green Before you print. by ~B-positive is a set of simply designed symbols that can be added to your emails in an effort to reduce our paper use. These are just the reminders that are needed to make anyone think twice before before hitting the print button. Thank you for sharing. ( Featured by znow-white )

nah, all designers should be social, this is just a symbol, just a better one from the classic (windows or whatever) one...

I think this is really great, if I would receive a e-mail with that on the top or bottom I would certainly think twice! Or at least only take the parts I need and print instead of printing tons of pages. :D

Not to be negative, but I'm thinking the ideal intended usage of this symbol would be to put it onto documents that would need to be printed by individuals which I don't really think is too big of an issue. With commercial printing, on the other hand, these added symbols on the documents would increase the consumption of ink, a more limited and hazardous resource. Either way, most people and organizations use things like this simply to justify waste thinking anyone who sees a printed document with this symbol on every page will think that the printer is conservation conscious no matter how wasteful their printing practices.

I think the solution could be better, the tree doesn't read as one when it's really tiny, but the idea is commendable.

Congrats on the DD.

What's ironic though is that the whole 'green' printing is mostly a sham. It takes much more energy which leaves the same, if not more of an ecological footprint when compared to normal paper.

I really want to paint this logo huge on a wall and force my friend to stare at it. Seriously, because she prints of pages and PAGES of useless cartoon/anime pictures off of photobucket for her enjoyment. Which she stores in a messy, untouched binder. Now I have nothing against the pictures, its just that she WASTES and doesn't care. Everyone tries to stop and warn this git, but alas.

Great design

All of them are very good but my favorite is the bottom left handed one! The green box makes everything pop off the screen. Keep up the great work!

These are great! I wish some of the kids at the University would learn the simple steps to have save paper. We get 250 free prints per semester, used to be 75. Somehow they went through all 250. Its mind blowing, if people would just learn to print only what is relevant.
